Best of Times

When I see this picture, I see all the happiness of a 3 year old in one photo frame.
-fishing with daddy
-Aggie jersey
-shorts (he HATES jeans right now)
-Phillies cap from his first t-ball season
-Gatorade "moustache"

As a matter of fact, I have a video of ol' Wy playing t-ball in A BLAZING INFERNO or what we refer to as summer. (Excuse the caps but is was pretty hot even at 6:00 pm)

Video #1 is the morning game
Video #2 is the evening game
Tell me which one you think was hotter?

You may notice the first base coach is holding one of the wilted players. Did I mention is was hot?

Sugar and Spice. Wait...

wrong poem.

I read somewhere that dirtier kids are actually healthier. Clearly I am embracing this new research.

Personal Pool

Walker did not seem greatly offended over the summer when he was put in the blow up pool as opposed to joining us in the big pool. One less "swimmer" for mommy to worry about.

Yes, we do own swim diapers but-TRUTH TIME-he was usually just naked.

Yes, that is a small pile of dirt in the back of his pool. It seems the dogs enjoyed the personal pool as well.

Soccer Shots

I have to say that the last practice of the season was a little warm. I also have to say that some kids took the heat...

 ...better than others.

"Do NOT take my picture!"

Death rays shooting from his over-heated eyes.

"Just let me curl up and wallow in my misery."

"I am beyond comfort! Remove thine offending hand!"

"Oh. Did you say Tutti Frutti frozen yogurt?"

"Cheese"

A frozen yogurt miracle.

I'm a helper!

Hazard of living close to Target

Well, it's official.

I go to Target too much.

I feigned ignorance on the credit card bill for a couple months until the hubby looked at them and used his adding skills. I don't need to mention total amounts.  All I need to tell you is that the returns lady knows me.

We are one step away from exchanging Christmas cards.

In my defense, I've written about it's many allures before. Couple that with crippling summer heat and a long afternoon after naps aaaaannd you get a desperate mommy who by late August CANNOT  GET BACK IN THE POOL ONE MORE TIME!

Therefore, we wander the air conditioned aisles of Target. (If you live north of Dallas, you don't understand. If you live south, well...I'll see you in the dollar section tomorrow)

Here are the kids asking for pictures with their spoils:

Hmmm...wonder what Wyatt is into at this current juncture in his life?

This particular purchase created "phantom" tooth pain from the excessive "loose tooth wiggle" check. I told her they were not loose and to stop checking, but she insisted on eating soft foods. At least she is engaging with her reading material, yes?

Yep. Something for everyone...

(The top is totally closed. I think.)

It's all about survival in these early years.
