Breakfast w/ Santa

That's right. Pine Forest Country Club put snow on a hill for the kids. It seemed like a really cute idea until one kid started pegging all the little kids WITH THE PARENT WATCHING! The parent only stepped in when my nephew felt he needed to step in to defend his snowballed younger brother and kick snow in the little stinker's face. Oh, then, the parental instincts kicked in. I was all for letting the law of the jungle take it's course. Fa la la la la!

Sweet family pic sans Mom. Wyatt seems a little stunned by all the sugary treats laid before him in the other room. Let's just say he liked his chocolate milk...a lot.

Upside to iphone camera: I take more pictures
Downside: no zoom.
If you squint, you can see the kiddos sitting on Santa's lap. Shelby was all for anything involving everyone staring and taking her picture. Wyatt had some real doubts about the strange man with excessive facial hair. Shelby wanted a doll. Wyatt wanted out of there.

Flash to the past: we don't pump Santa up overmuch at our house. As a matter of fact, when I told Shelby we were having breakfast with Santa, she asked "Who is Santa?" She has since caught on. But, last year, there was a giant blow-up Santa in the front. When I asked her who it was she promptly responded, "Jesus." GAAAAAA! Years of untangling that theological issue...

My sweet nephew whom Shelby looooooooves!!! I crack up every time I see pictures of him. He is so active that to get him looking, smiling and still for a picture is a rare thing. See photographic evidence below.
